What about Digital Voodoo?

I already said in the previous post that Here Be Boring Dragon is my old blog, but why this one is called Digital Voodoo?

For simple reasons, believe me:

• I'm not that keen on re-using names or even contents, although I intend to re-post some of the old posts from ye olde blog here. Everything must flow, like water, continuously changing their shape, or in case of a blog, title and theme;
• while we can convene that Hic sunt Dracones is still something that can be applied even today, one of the greatest metaphors that I like to use talking about the Web and, more generally, the unknown, is Digital Voodoo. Why? Let's see why.

From the Cambridge dictionary, Voodoo means:

various forms of religion, influenced by traditional African religions, that involve magic and attempts to communicate with spirits and dead people, found in parts of the Caribbean, especially Haiti, and in parts of the southern US

Magic - that can't be explained or hard to comprehend, attempts to communicate with spirits - aka individuals or not that aren't close to you phisically and/or mentally.

Something that can't be explained or it's hard to comprehend, wrote in an attempt to communicate with unknown or very far individuals. I mean, it is basically what a blog should be, right?

And so Digital Voodoo sounds now like the most appropriate name for a new blog. I will try to post on this thing regularly, although I foresee there will be some interferences in the foreseeable future (next on this in another post - hah, see what I did there?!)
